The Chapel was completed in 1305 by Enrico Scrovegni, a banker (usury) at that time. It's said that this chapel was dedicated to his father. (As an expiation of his usury activities and used earned money).
Inside, you would be overwhelmed by the special "Blue" (it's hard to describe this beautiful clear but deep blue tone). Each fresco has a story like "Last Judgement", "Life of Mary" and "Life of Christ", and the allegory of "Virtue" and "Corruption". Since it's not so large inside that you feel be surrounded by overlooking frescoes, it's very emotional experience. Even if with the technology of modern painting, it's impossible to reconstruct all fresco like originals. The entire interior is not dried up yet so it's taken a lot of attention to control humidity and temperature of inside.
Therefore admission limit is only 25 people. Before visiting, you have to wait outside seeing the 15-minutes video guide. Then you go inside the chapel solemnly.
